I'm Ahmed Al Hassoni — a graduated perfumer, and the person behind Candle Man Dubai, Belles Âmes, CandleStart, Olfactal and WaxHippo. Washii is the one venture on that list that has nothing to do with wax or fragrance, and people ask about it more than any of the others.
The reason is the same one behind every other thing I've built: an ordinary job that takes more of your time than it should. Getting a car cleaned in Dubai means driving somewhere, queueing, and waiting — for something that could just as easily happen while the car sits in the spot it was going to sit in anyway. The app exists to remove the driving and the waiting.
